At this point it is also a good idea to identify any special circumstances of your transport with the auto shipping company as well as have them address any questions or concerns you might have.
Car Preparation
Before the carrier arrives on your transport date, you will want to make sure that you car is washed, the gas tank is1/4 full, the battery is charged, and any accessories have been removed. Also it is very important to provide the carrier with a full set of keys to your vehicle so be sure to have a copy made for them. Read our Auto Shipping Checklist for more information.
Payment
Most auto transport companies will require that a deposit is made to secure a carrier for your auto transport. Carriers are required to collect the complete balanced owed before your vehicle can be unloaded. Payments can be made by certified or cashier’s check, money order, cash, and in some cases credit card. Personal checks will not be accepted. A copy of the bill of lading signed by the driver will be provided to you as your receipt.
Pick-Up
It is very important to let the driver know if there are any special precautions needed during the loading process of you vehicle. Once your car has been loaded, you will receive a bill of lading authorizing your transport. Then in no time at all your vehicle will be on its way!
Delivery
When your auto has arrived at the delivery location, you will want to do a full inspection of the vehicle, making sure there was no damage encountered along the way.
